MINUTES OF AUGUST 2019 MEETING
The Enid Amateur Radio Club held the August monthly meeting Thursday evening, August 15, 2019,
in the Salvation Army Fellowship Hall, 220 W. Pine Avenue, Enid, OK.

V. Sanders, Club President, called the meeting to order at 6:58 p.m..
Health and Welfare--
V. Sanders asked for Health and Welfare concerns and mentioned he was to see the Dr. and hoped to be released back to work.
Minutes of previous meeting--
• Motion by J. Scouten second by D. Plank [CARRIED, unanimous] to accept the minutes of the July meeting as distributed and as posted to the EARC website. (ARCLight-20190718.pdf).
Treasurer was read and provided in print. • Motion by A. Fox second by B. Nokes [CARRIED, unanimous] to accept the Treasurer’s report.
A discussion on whether the Club would hold Hamfest 2019 was had. This will be an ongoing discussion and will depend on the Club's ability to have sufficient number of volunteers to work the event. The event is the first Saturday in November. Ten of the individuals present at the August meeting indicated they plan to help with the 2019 Enid Hamfest which was encouraging. More help from membership would be appreciated. Derby Radio Shack and the Wireman are two vendors expected to attend be here this year.
Enid Lights Up The Plains will be the 29th of November and will require three to five volunteers to work the event.
C. Sauls noted that a recent FCC regulation change required lighting of towers above 50' agl.
Next Meeting will be September 19th at 7:00p.m.
